Welcome to the world baby girl!!!

Margaret Clare Rowan Moore was born on May 25th, 2009!!! She weighed 8lbs 12oz and was 21 inches long! I was in labor for 38 hours!!! She was quite comfortable inside her mommy and did not want to come down. After being stuck at 7cm for 4 hours and knowing her head was still high we decided a c-section was best. It was a very scary decision, but we wanted to get her out before complications arose. It all went so quickly. I ended up having to have a narcotic because I had some pain complications. That made everything a little blurry! I do remember seeing my baby and knowing how beautiful she is! She was just perfect! We are very lucky parents.

39 weeks...

I sit here with just days till my due date, anxiously awaiting the arrival of my baby girl. I have not dilated at all, but am still optimistic that I will be having this baby Memorial Day weekend! I cannot wait to meet this little girl. I want to smell her and feel her and listen to her breath. I want to look into my Maggie's eyes and tell her that she is a very loved little girl! I want her here! Hopefully soon! I promise to keep everyone posted! I know there are many people who want to meet Maggie and I am so excited to share her with the world!

Sorry it has been so long...

Hi Everyone!

I have been so busy getting the house all ready for my little girl (check out the pictures I posted of her room!), I haven't had time to update the blog! For so long there was really nothing new to report, but as I approach my due date, I know that everyone is anxious to here news. So far I have been having contractions, but not the real thing (though they do hurt.) She is still very high and as of a few days ago, sitting on a nerve which is causing me great numbness and extreme pain. I am going to the doctor every Tuesday so I will find out more tomorrow. The good news is she is head down and still very active! When I was 34 weeks they were worried that her birth weight would be close to 13 pounds! Thankfully her weight has tapered off and she now is estimated at around 8 pounds! That I can handle!

I can't believe that I am going to have a baby anytime now! It has gone by so fast! I promise to keep everyone in the loop when the real thing happens. We will send out an e-mail and hopefully pictures as soon as possible! I will keep everyone posted on my progress. Pray for me that is sooner rather than later!!!

Keira is going to be a great big sister...

Keira has been so loving and has spent many evenings kissing my belly and laying her head on Maggie! Maggie likes to kick Keira in the head! Keira just licks my tummy some more!

Maggie's Room

Here are some pictures of Maggie's room! All we need is a little Maggie! My parents helped us out but getting us the paint and new carpet and helping paint! Adam's mom and step-dad bought us the dresser and his dad and step-mom bought us the rocker and ottoman.

Uncle Jim...

On Tuesday February 17th my Uncle Jim passed away after a very short battle with cancer. He was my Godfather and an incredible man, who meant the world to me. I was going through my jewelry and realized how much of what I have, came from Jim. He, as a single man, for years would always get me some special piece of jewelry for Christmas. Jim will be very missed.

For me, the hardest part of his death is that I will never get to see him with Maggie. I know he is heaven and will be watching over me during these next three months. I also know that Maggie is a very lucky girl to have so many Guardian Angels.

I really wanted to honor my Uncle Jim in some way. Adam and I talked and decided to add Jim's middle name, Rowan, to Maggie's name.

Her full name will be Margaret Clare Rowan Moore.

I want to thank everyone for all their prayers and support over the last week. It means the world to me. Jim was loved by so many and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
I will be sure my little girl knows what an incredible man her
great-uncle Jim was!

28 weeks, ultrasound update...

I am almost 28 weeks and everyone has been asking about the ultrasound I had last Tuesday. It was so fast and fairly uneventful that I totally forgot about it. All looks good with her heart. She is very wiggly and had the hiccups the whole time the tech was taking measurements. She was face down, which was disappointing cause I wanted to see her little face. I go to see my midwife next week and will hopefully get more information about how big she is.

I should let everyone know that I have a great fear my child is going to have an enormous head! When I had my ultrasound in January I asked if the head size seemed normal...it was. I am hoping my midwife will have the results of her current measurements. I will keep everyone posted. ;)
