Hiccups!

I went in last week to have my regular check up and hear the heartbeat. Considering how active she has been I was worried it would take forever to get her to hold still long enough to hear her. When Lois(my midwife) put the Doppler on me, we heard the heartbeat right away and then she flipped. It took Lois a second to pin her down again, when she did, not only could we hear Maggie's very steady heartbeat, but we also heard that she had the hiccups! Since then I have felt her hiccups at least once a day. I can tell the difference between her usual wiggling and hiccups, because the hiccups are rhythmic! It is so much fun to feel! Last night Adam heard them on the stethoscope. I definitely have an active baby and I am loving every minute of it!

I go in on February 17th for another Ultrasound. Hopefully I can get a picture worth posting. The ones I have from this last ultrasound were not very clear.

Also, I see the middle name poll has been quite popular. I am going to revise it and start it over. We have talked over several names and considered the initials she will have. Let me know your thoughts!

IT"S A GIRL!!!!

So after what seemed like an eternity, we had the ultrasound done today! It is so weird to see that little life moving inside of me! What an amazing thing! Last night I was reading in a book about how this women just knew what the sex of the babies(multiples) was. She felt that God had let her know just this, since there is really nothing else you can predict or control during pregnancy. I have always pictured this baby a girl. When I think about the room I can see it pink, when I think a her growing up, it is a girl. I was too afraid that if I let myself think it was a girl, thinking I might be disappointed if it wasn't. I would have been thrilled with a little boy, but somewhere deep inside I always knew it was a girl! Last night when I finally admitted to myself and Adam that I thought it was a girl, It was like a peace came over me. I am thrilled to be able to call the baby by name. Refer to her as a girl, not an it! She's my little Maggie!

We have the first named picked out, Margaret...Maggie. After my dad's mom and Adam's dad's mom. I hope they are honored and I know they are both looking down from Heaven watching over us!

I added another poll. 64% of you were right on the last one! I put a list of middle names we are thinking about. It will be fun see what people like best. The names are listed in alphabetical order. They all have a significance, but I don't want to sway anyone. Have fun!

I will update everyone again soon!
