Uncle Jim...

On Tuesday February 17th my Uncle Jim passed away after a very short battle with cancer. He was my Godfather and an incredible man, who meant the world to me. I was going through my jewelry and realized how much of what I have, came from Jim. He, as a single man, for years would always get me some special piece of jewelry for Christmas. Jim will be very missed.

For me, the hardest part of his death is that I will never get to see him with Maggie. I know he is heaven and will be watching over me during these next three months. I also know that Maggie is a very lucky girl to have so many Guardian Angels.

I really wanted to honor my Uncle Jim in some way. Adam and I talked and decided to add Jim's middle name, Rowan, to Maggie's name.

Her full name will be Margaret Clare Rowan Moore.

I want to thank everyone for all their prayers and support over the last week. It means the world to me. Jim was loved by so many and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
I will be sure my little girl knows what an incredible man her
great-uncle Jim was!

28 weeks, ultrasound update...

I am almost 28 weeks and everyone has been asking about the ultrasound I had last Tuesday. It was so fast and fairly uneventful that I totally forgot about it. All looks good with her heart. She is very wiggly and had the hiccups the whole time the tech was taking measurements. She was face down, which was disappointing cause I wanted to see her little face. I go to see my midwife next week and will hopefully get more information about how big she is.

I should let everyone know that I have a great fear my child is going to have an enormous head! When I had my ultrasound in January I asked if the head size seemed normal...it was. I am hoping my midwife will have the results of her current measurements. I will keep everyone posted. ;)

Middle Name!

The long wait is over! We have finally chosen a middle! It was a hard decision. We liked so many names for so many reasons. All of the names meant something. Bridget was my grandma Margaret's middle name. Marie was Adam's grandma Myrtle's middle name. Elaine is my grandma Dolores's middle name and Claire/Clare comes from my great-grandma Clara. So with out further ado...

Margaret Clare Moore, Maggie Clare!

We chose Clare without the "i" because it was close to Clara. I also liked the connection to Ireland, County Clare, Clare Island, etc. I love the way Maggie Clare sounds and can hardly wait to meet this little girl!
